Ultimately mandating four or two or other political parties is impossible. People like myself will register as independents, and run as such from non-party Caucuses. Any attempt to enforce this sort of requirement would be ridden with loopholes, and would be totally unenforceable.

A six candidate race under IRV is very complex to be sure, and clearly hasn't worked for us this weekend, but pushing us either directly to two parties or indirectly through FPTP just destroys the ideological diversity.
