Since the thread in the other board is locked, I'll do it here:

I, Peter Bell, do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the office of Attorney General, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the Atlas Forum, so help me Dave.

Since this is a Special Election, there is no lame-duck period, therefore you may swear the oath as soon as you wish.

Whilst this is up, isn't King meant to swear in here, unless he did it in the confirmation thread?

You realise it is actually a constitutional requirement on your holding office to take the constitutionally prescribed oath.

Preston shouldn't be swearing in at all at the moment: He still has official duties to attend to in the SE regarding the ongoing election. Until those are complete he should remain as Magistrate and not take the Secretarial oath.

Actually the Preston swear-in is odd for another reason: By Convention you swear to God and you affirm under pains and penalties of perjury. Preston seems to have affirmed to God.

I have no idea why either Cosmo Kramer or PBrunsel have sworn in since your term does not begin until this Friday. You remain Senators-Elect.

Could people please edit their oaths to reflect that you swear to the Constitution of the Republic of Atlasia as opposed to the Atlas Forum now.

Perhaps you could all read Article 2, Section 3 of War and Peace that Sam wrote for you.

Why do people keep swearing to the Constitution of the Atlas Forum? It was changed to Republic of Atlasia some 10 months ago.
