We need to take our memes back from the alt-right. Make Pepe innocent again!

Low quality meme's like pepe are only really still a thing because of being propped up by groups like the alt-right. Going ancient history, it reminds me of that 'pool's closed' meme that festered beyond its expiration date due to the 4chan crowd's bomb throwing faction using it as a rallying cry years back. But at least that had some attachment to their history. This is... just inane. Just like the alt-right. So kind of fitting. I guess.
