France - steeped in history, post modern philosophers, wine and arrogance
Germany - historical, disavows past, autobahn, beautiful landscapes
Italy - wine, cuisine, papacy, fascism, futurism
Russia - interesting culture, czars, soviet repression, one of the greatest contributors to the arts
South Africa - apartheid, Dave Matthews
Zimbabwe - Mugabe, opression
Israel - conflict, Gaza Strip, klezmer
Iraq - Hussein, war
Iran - Ahmadinejad, repressive
Afghanistan - Soviet-Afghan War, Mujahideen
Pakistan - nuclear power, interesting culture
India - Hinduism, caste system
China - culture, philosophy, mao and communism
Japan - really interesting culture, cuisine, technological giant
