Will anyone who posts regularly on this forum become famous or infamous for any reason? If so, who and why?

Anyone want to mention someone besides themself?

I think Phil could potentially work his way into the PA legislature if he tries. Maybe then he could bust Opebo for running a prostitution ring or something. Wink

Pretty much. There are a couple of posters who have the brains and the ideas necessary, there are a couple who have the articulation, and there are a couple who have the charisma and looks, but the combination of all these is very rare.

Most people on here don't have any of these, I'd wager.

You guys can say whatever you want. But i'm not letting anyone discourage me. You can do anything if you put your mind to it.

If AL Franken  can come so close to winning then I can definitely win

I'm not saying that it can't be done. It can, but the odds aren't very good. It just requires the right person, a lot of work, and a lot of luck.

Franken was already well known before he ran. Completely incomparable to any of us.

But I think we've missed the point of this. There are many other ways besides being a politician to be famous.

I think you guys are setting the bar for being a politician waaaay too high. Sure, to be a Senator or a Governor or something you probably need to be great, but to be a random congressman or legislator or mayor or something? I don't think so.

Trust me: you definitely don't need to be a great person to be a state legislator.  You just need to have the right letter next to your name and win a primary.

True. It's still not the easiest thing to do, though, it costs a bit of money, it's and not really the most desirable. Here in Washington, state representatives only make ~$15,000 a year. Not exactly a great living...
