The right wing hate machine is currently screaming that Kamala Harris slept her way to the top of the political food chain by having sex with San Francisco Mayor, power broker, and CA Assembly Speaker Willie Brown during her time as a prosecutor. The two did date in the early 2000s.

Stupid argument. Hawaii is the least white state in the country and has plenty of non-black ethnic groups, including a ton more Pacific Islanders than any other state.

A federal program giving money for professor recruitment with 50% mandated to go toward HBCUs only is 100% identity politics.

Not sure why people are pushing that Kamala is a national figure. Yes, is she one of the better known national dems? Sure, but still not a lot. Just look at all of the polls going on -- even her score of "Don't Know" is still pretty high among even DEMOCRATS, let alone all voters.

Her candidacy and supposed popularity is more of a media creation than anything else.  Besides being an identity politics candidate from the most "coastal elitist" city in the country (besides NYC of course), what does she have to offer as a future President?

Gender (and race) is not what makes somewhat an identity politics candidate. Klobuchar and Gabbard (and probably Warren) are not running on identity politics platforms. Conversely, Beto's become a sort of identity politics candidate as well for yuppie white liberals, and he's a straight white male.

This housing proposal could be a major opportunity for one of her opponents should they play their cards right. She proposing both promoting subprime mortgages and to increase housing demand and thus prices while coming from the state with the most expensive and toxic housing market in the country.

Yeah that's a weird criticism. I dislike Harris as a politician and on policy, but I'd say she comes off as one of the most personable candidates.

1) Hope Biden and/or Warren collapse and/or drop out due to a health issue
2) Get as many delegates as possible from CA and pray for a brokered convention

Compared to where Gabbard is, this is all still true.

Why does everyone expect Harris to endorse Warren?  Her views seem more in line with Biden and maybe he could offer her the VP spot.  I have always thought a Biden/Harris ticket would be incredible.  I don't think Trump could beat them.  Her contrast with Pence in the VP debate would be good too.  She's clearly a better debater than him.

Presumably because Harris based her campaign for a while around attacking Biden.
