Eh, I thought this trailer was a step down from the previous trailer(s). Although the dogfights and lightsaber stuff looked pretty well done, I definitely got a more generic sci-fi/action vibe from a lot of the actual dialogue/plot/character material with some rehashed OT material thrown in. I suppose it's inevitable though; the first trailer was so good that the movie could never live up to it, so I would hope this one would temper expectations to (hopefully) reasonable levels.

I'm actually worried about not seeing Luke Skywalker at all in any of the footage or images/posters that have been released.

How so? We know he's in the film; there are leaked images of him in it out there.

I honestly felt suffocated by all the fan service, Marvel-esque flippant one-liners, and rehashed plot points. So many groan-worthy scenes and lines. I still liked it-- it's cut from a similar cloth as Jurassic World but is far less oppressing-ly stupid-- but it really feels more like Disney-ified fan fic than a real film. Its strengths only serve to make me wish they didn't miss so many opportunities.

Also, how on earth did it take three people to write that screenplay? How hard is it to use copy/paste?

I have yet to see it this weekend, but it looks like it will beat Avatar this weekend for the highest-earning movie of all time (~750 to 780 Mio. $)

US Domestic only. Unlikely to break the world record unless it kills in China.
