Well, if Barbara Lagoa is NOT the nominee, Trump is making a huge mistake. It really looks like a no-brainer. Floridian. Cuban. Not known to be a conservative firebrand, so wouldn't make liberals too fired up (beyond what they already are). Seems like a reasonable pick if you are a conservative and want somebody who is not likely to cause too many problems politically.
Would she make a difference? I don't know. I don't think she would do any harm to Trump. The result could be anything from nothing - as with seemingly everything else this cycle - to a sizable boost for Trump and the GOP's senate chances.
