Virginia is a solid blue state going forward.  Sanders will EASILY carry VA.

The reason it was red for so long is that NOVA voters--being pragmatic liberals--simply didn't show up to vote because they logically (but falsely) assumed they could not override the red vote from non-Northern Virginia. 

But now they wield The Power.

They can never be stopped.

um what no , NoVA carried Bob Dole across the finish line in VA in 1996 and saved John Warner too. NoVA used to be Solid R until 1996 


Because liberals in NoVA didn't bother showing up to the polls, that's why.

It was not until the massive D voter registration drive in 2006 (to unseat George Allen) and 2008 (Obama) that the political dynamic of Virginia changed.  Forever.
