Presidents and Vice Presidents run on separate tickets

Not a good idea, Vice Presidents should be incentivised for their President to succeed politically. It is easy to imagine Vice Presidents being unwilling to work with the President on many issues if they are of different parties, and this is particularly bad for the role of Vice President since it tends to have a relatively vague job description (as opposed to more specific roles such as Attorney General.)
