Oh stop.  When's the last time you supported a Democrat for an office of any importance?

A very long time, but it's possible in theory.

I'm considering voting for Lieberman for the Senate.

I have voted for Democrats on the local level because there's no difference between Democrats and Republicans on that level.

Whether I vote for the man or the party, the result is the same, so it's a distinction without a difference.  Unless the Republican candidate is to the left of the Democratic candidate, I'll usually go with the Republican.

He's way out of line with you and the national GOP on domestic issues.  But so is Jodi Rell, so suit yourself.

The no-name Republican that'll run against Lieberman is most likely to suit your views.

What's your point exactly?

There was little to that previous post.  I was simply rambling.  Really what I was trying to do is to get you to vote against Lieberman.  Did I succeed?

It depends on whom the Republicans nominate.  But last time, they nominated a guy who, it turns out, was paying a prostitute to be able to have sex with her 10-year-old daughter.  So we'll have to see the quality of the Republican candidate.

If anything, you will likely encourage Dazzleman to vote for him -any Democrat disliked so much by his fellow Democrats that they would actually work to defeat him even if it means a Republican would replace him will be a likely draw for Republican support.

Very true.  The fact that the liberals don't like Lieberman surely makes me more comfortable in voting for him.

I also think that principle and fortitude should be rewarded, since it is so rare in politics.
