Obama is nowhere near ready to run for president.
Nobody knows anything about him other than that he is half-black and doesn't rub non-black people the wrong way on a superficial basis the way most other prominent black politicians do.
From what I understand, he is very, very liberal, which is a major liability.
Allen on the other hand is a moderate conservative from a borderline southern state, and has experience as a governor and senator. Plus he has a football background, which is a big asset.
Allen would kick ass.
