Newsday is a left-wing rag.  I refused to read them ever again after they had a column about 15 years ago gushing with sympathy for a man who'd been shot while trying to rob somebody on the subway.  I say he got what he deserved.

They probably only endorsed King in the past because he had no credible opposition.
