This past Assembly session was not an active one, one of the slowest in recent memory. What do you plan on doing next session to help boost activity?

This Assembly has actually been more active than recent ones. If you want to go to truly active Assemblies you have to look probably a year plus ago.
Really? Has an Assemblymen even introduced a bill this session? I think the Governor and I are the only ones. Compare it to the Northeast or IDS, and we've really fallen in back. We used to be #1 in regional governments. I don't see that dominance anymore.

I'll bite.

When announcing your reelection, one of the highlights you brought up was the recent growth in our region, attributing it as a success of your administration.

Building a party base for personal gain doesn't necessarily benefit the region, does it Governor?

The region benefits from new players, regardless of their party affiliation. And as I said, not all of the people I have PMed and have subsequently registered in the Mideast are now members of the Whig Party.

And to be clear, it sounds a bit hypocritical and even slightly humorous to hear such an implicit reproach from you, Mr. President. After all, you were the one who was at least partly responsible for the registration of numerous leftist players in the Northeast, which led to the surge of the JCP/Liberal Party in that region - a development which could certainly be described as "building a party base for personal gain".

By MCPR member, do you mean NiK, who originally joined your party, but later decided to switch over to the MCPR? While I agree that recruiting members to the region is good, I think regional diversity makes it even better. Badger is a perfect example of someone I messaged being complete opposite of me. I don't think he ever voted for me, but I'm very glad I was one of the people who helped get one of our most outstanding members to join. Smiley

Napoleon also was not leading the regional government during much of that "rebuilding" process. But anyways, that was the Northeast, and that's not what the focus should be on this election. It should be on the Mideast and what we can do better.

Vosem is a long-time member of this Atlasia, he just fell out of the game for a while. But good for you, getting him to register again! Smiley

Napoleon did answer a question - you responded to it, then I asked a follow-up question, as well as provided an additional comment. Friendly discussions are good, but in the future, I won't ask you, my Governor, any questions here.

I never "mudslinged" - I simply asked which MCPR member you recruited. I hardly would call that, as well as stating that ideological diversity is important to this region as "mudslinging."

And to be honest, I consider it ironic that you don't want any mention of the campaign in this thread, yet have criticized me and brought up the campaign multiple occasions in Mideast Assembly debate threads, which I think is a much more important area.

At this point, if you'd like to move this discussion to another thread - one of our campaign threads - that's fine. But I think Napoleon was certainly within his limits when asking about your recruiting strategy, as was I when I asked which MCPR members you have recruited.

Next time you do this, just specify that you don't want your political opponents asking questions, and I won't.
