I have no issues with bringing back Kurdistan.
Believe it or not, Wilson wanted to create a Kurdish state at the end of WWI. But the British and French "knew better" than the naive Americans.
I've always wondered what the geo-political climate would be in the middle east with an established Kurdistan and Israel, and the rest of the current Islamic states. Would Kurdistan be attacked as much as Israel? Would the two states have a strategic alliance? Would Kurdistan also have a bone to pick with Israel? Etc...
Interesting question.
However,
at that time I'm not sure we backed a Jewish homeland...don't remember that part. This is all coming from 6 to 8-year-old memories from a college history course, so things are a bit fuzzy.
I do remember we also called for an Armenian State, too.
