Swearing in of new Office Holders

Uh, I think you're overreacting a bit... KEmperor was just going on his interpretation of the Constitution, which, now that I read the clause in question, simply missed the specification that "weekend" begins on a Friday.

So do we retract our oaths or not, Gabu? I had thought it was the weekend of the 7th, until KEmp said it was this weekend.

Yeah, I was under the same impression.  I don't think we need to retract them; they're just invalid until the 7th.

Fair enough. I'll hold off on doing anything in the Senate until then.
