An interesting Republican ticket, however, big losers.

In 1996, America would not go for the eccentric Texas billionaire with the annoying voice and, to some extent, bizarre statements.  Forbes is a decent enough candidate for Vice President, but the flat tax advocate has limited appeal, and is dragged down by the nut case at the top of the ticket.

By 1996, Perot was widely viewed as a fruit cake.

My map is actually generous to Perot.
