Now that Kim Jong-un, in his late twenties, untested, untried, and inexperienced, has been declared the new leader of North Korea, will a North Korean general now make his bid for power?

This would be the time to do it if it is going to be done.

Please discuss.

True, he has the rank of General, and has served in other capacities, however, only because he is the son of Kim Jong-il.

I believe it is possible that this rapid rise may be resented by the military leadership as undeserved and they may decide to seize power.

So I agree with you that the generals may make their move.  They may never have a better opportunity.
