It could very well be a real political advertising company named (partially) after a fictitious adverting firm on a TV show.  The Wikipedia entry for Mad Men said that the ad agency was called Sterling Cooper in the early seasons, then Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce  and later Sterling Cooper & Partners, not Draper Sterling.  So it's not even a complete match.
