Anyone who is shocked by someone spending $2,500 per game on food and drinks in a luxury box at an NFL football game hasn't been to many football games or luxury boxes.  Stadium food and drinks for the plebes in the nosebleed seats is terribly overpriced.  You can easily spend $50 on beer and snacks.  One can only imagine how marked-up luxury box food is.  Luxury boxes also seat 30 people or so, so the overall cost is likely less than $100 per person - which is peanuts for a business dinner at a fancy New York City restaurant.

Not that the optics look good for Christie.
