Think if Vic Rawl had won the Democratic nomination, this might actually be a competitive race.

Stop it.

If DeMint ends up with under 60% (in SC) against a pair of joke opponents it shows just how weak he really is. Not only that, he's gotten weaker. Not long ago many of us thought he'd hit 70.

Also, there was a poll that showed Rawl within 10 points of DeMint. So yes, Vic could have made this competitive. I'm not saying he would've won though.


And the main reason he won it at all was racism.

Please.  Obama wouldn't have been within 9 if it weren't for racism of a different sort.

South Carolina is a Republican state.
