In any event, we should be able to get at least audio from the ny1.com website, which live-streams the audio of its programming.

The debate is supposed to be shown on YNN upstate. That's Channel 6 for me.

NY1 in much of NYC, YNN Upstate and News 12 in the NYC area.  Those of us with satellite, FiOS (at least in the News 12 area) or over-the-air TV are out of luck unless one of the online feeds isn't blocked to those who don't subscribe to cable.  So far, it's unclear if any feeds will be.

Well, the 7-ring circus is over.  The Madam got the best one-liners in.   Paladino started off slowly but got better near the end, never attacking Cuomo.  Cuomo was okay throughout, pretty much saying what Paladino said but more eloquently.  Cuomo was flanked by the well-spoken racist Black Panther and the ultimate joke candidate.  The green candidate doesn't understand economics.  The libertarian wants to cut everything and attacked Cuomo and Paladino at times.

Pretty much as expected - entertaining, but we didn't really learn much new.  I'd still like to know how some of these minor party candidates even got on the ballot.

As for the side characters, they were very amusing! Why does Howie Hawkins talk like a black man though?

Born in California, attended Dartmouth, lived primarily in the Northeast and sounds like a Southerner.  It makes no sense - which is pretty much par for the course in this debate.

John Faso stuck the knife into Paladino right after the debate on Capital Tonight. He basically said he barely noticed him while watching and didn't even understand why he was up there.

So did anyone actually watch the West Virginia shindig? It's kind of funny how seemingly everyone here chose to watch a debate in a basically non-competitive gubernatorial race over a debate for one of the most competitive and important US Senate seats.

I can pretty much guess how it went:

Raese: Rubber-stamp Obamacare tax cuts cap and trade job-killer.
Manchin: Florida millionaire elitist. Also, not a rubber stamp.

Two minor candidates were included in the WV debate, too, or so I've heard.  One is a 9-11 truther, the other the Mountain Party candidate.

I thought they both did well.  DioGuardi needed a knockout blow, and he didn't get it, though.

Kudos to the moderator for asking uncomfortable lightning round questions - and forcing the candidates to answer yes or no to them.  Many of the questions were very pointed.  All elected officials should be squirming at debates, not launching into endless, mindless talking points.  DioGuardi seems more adept than Gillibrand when forced to move away from talking points.

Alaskan gubernatorial and Senate candidates will debate at 8PM Alaska time - 12 midnight east coast time.  It should be on KTUU.com.

Schumer-Townsend are on ynn.com now.

Schumer did what he needed to do:

Show up sober and clothed.

I only caught the last half of the debate, but from what I saw, Townsend did what I'd love to have the opportunity to do: needle Chuck Schumer, reminding viewers of what a not-so-nice arrogant jerk Chucky is.  When asked what he thought about Paladino's recent round of dumb comments, Townsend turned the question around saying he disagreed with Paladino, but at least Paladino apologized, which is more than Chuck Schumer did after calling a flight attendant a not-so-nice name when she asked him to turn off his cell phone.  Townsend had a good debate.  You could see Schumer getting more and more pissed as the zingers flew.

Unfortunately, it won't change things much.  Sunday evening during football season on cable only means nobody watched.

The Alaska debate is on the Anchorage NBC affiliate after the football game.  People will probably watch.

I didn't see the debate, but McAdams probably can't win due to the not-so-simple Alaskan electoral math.  A Democrat needs to run up large margins in the Southeast (Alaskan Panhandle), run well in Anchorage and kill the Republican in the Native Alaskan Bush areas while driving up turnout there (HDs 37-40) in order to overcome solid Republican wins in Kenai, Mat-Su and to a lesser extent, Fairbanks.  Murkowski received endorsements from the Native Alaskan organizations and will likely do well in Anchorage.  That leaves McAdams with his home base in Southeast Alaska, which simply isn't enough to win, even in a three-way race.

There's an Alaska Senate debate on Alaska PBS in the early hours of the morning for most of us - 9PM to 10:30PM Alaska time, which translates to 1AM to 2:30 AM Eastern.  At least it may be convenient for those on the west coast IF it's streamed anywhere.

Alaska PBS' websites are:

http://www.alaskaone.org/

C-SPAN might have it here: http://www.c-spanvideo.org/program/296257-1
