Bit personal but today I learned a relative I've lived in close proximity to for the past 2 weeks tested positive for COVID-19. I practiced all social distancing and mask-wearing measures in the book out in public but admittedly less so around the house. Anyways I'm going in to get tested on Monday but let me just say that this is an incredibly humbling experience. COVID-19 has basically been "over" in my area since March (<200 active cases from 4000+) yet here I am. I have mild symptoms but honestly, these only started when I learned about my exposure and are probably placebo. That being said I have very little doubt given 2 weeks of proximity that I will test positive. Just hoping my elderly relatives I also saw a bit at the time do not.
Wear a mask. It's not that hard. We're in for the long haul with this.
