It is linked in this pinned thread: https://talkelections.org/FORUM/index.php?topic=363295.0

I actually had this pinned for a few hours but I realized since we no longer have the DoFE pinned, it was hard to justify pinning this. We have a lot of pinned threads on here already, hence why I created a noticeboard of threads that is pinned in order to compile a bunch of important threads without having to pin them all.

I have not moved to remove any of the other pins since I am not sure which ones are dictated by statute. I know the DoFE thread was removed by such methods IIRC.

Campaigning is set to end on Friday, there will be a polling update late on late Monday/early Tuesday. Would have been ideal to do one this week, but a family member is terminally ill and I'm understandably rather bereft of motivation.

I'm sorry to hear that, Lumine. Take as much time as you need.

Yea RL is far more important.

OK, so questions.

First, I am under the impression that one cannot run as an Independent.  Is this correct?

Second, is it possible that (under the rules) one could create his own party, and run as a member of that? For example, let's say I wanted to run for CT Governor as a member of my self-created party....let's call it the "Libertarian Party of CT".  Would that be allowed?

You can create a fictional character and campaigning for them for ct Governor under Lincoln Libertarian Party, provided you created such party in the appropriate LincolnParty Registration thread.

I had hoped to jump back into this for the February cycle, but when the return to work full time in early February hit me like a ton of bricks, things got pushed back and by then I didn't feel I could effectively jump in late in the cycle without making a horrendous performance that would backfire.
