With the sign in period over, it is now time to start receiving endorsement requests and nominations. This period will last from the 5th until the 9th. After which a 72 hour vote will be held to decide any contested endorsements/nominations and finalize the endorsement process.

Also if anyone wants to make a speech pitching why they should be supported/endorsed, that would be acceptable (read encouraged). in the remaining hours.

After my review of the Candidate declaration thread, I am not seeing a situation where anyone has contested a nomination for the Federalist Party endorsement, though I will wait to finalize this to be sure 'I didn't miss anything. I guess I will give 24 hours (hopefully I don't lose power tomorrow) for any last minute corrections.

According to the rules all Feds are automatically endorsed.

Even so though, since Mathew was the only one to request out endorsement he is uncontested for the highest non-fed endorsement.

The same would apply for Fillinovich.

ReaganClinton's situation is slightly different since it is a one seat office. That being said, assuming I didn't miss anyone he is also uncontested for the Federalist Party endorsement.

Assuming, I didn't miss anything a vote would be unnecessary.

If a vote is desired, I am all in favor of doing so.

[   ] Aye
[   ] Nay

Lincoln Regional Governor ReaganClinton
[  ] Aye

[  ] Nay

This vote will last 48 hours and is open to all registered federalists.

I most wholeheartedly concur with PiT.
I would just like to make it clear, I object in the strongest possible terms to us endorsing Matthew27 for the House. He is grossly unfit to hold office and does not belong in the Atlasian House of Representatives. The fact that we are even considering endorsing him, quite frankly, beggars belief.
If we endorse him just because no one else asked for our endorsement then what's next? Pericles, or Zaybay, or MAINEaic or Adam Griffin receiving our endorsement just because they had the audacity to ask for it?

No one is obligated to receive our endorsement. Conventions are for this purpose but in the absence of previously spoken objections, it was reasonable to expedite the process. I would note I gave an extended period even in which people could object to so proceeding.

For one thing, all Federalists are auto endorsed so unless more than one candidate seeks an office a vote is not held for them. This is long standing bylaw, if we want to change that we can do so here in this convention.

So we are talking about a narrow range of nominations here, that of non-federalist endorsements. If there is a strong objection to us nominating a candidate, if we are to follow a process, requires that a nomination be considered and then rejected, which is what we have done here.

At the urging of several people, I have decided to run again for Chair of the Federalist Party. In the last election we did many things well in terms of turnout and unity. We turned out 94% of our valid members and we did not have a single defection. However, we are in a different environment, one in which every vote matters and thus even such record breaking performances are not enough to secure victory. To remain competitive we need to not only maintain such high turnout levels, but we need to improve them.

We also need to get people engaged both new and old so as to reduce the number of invalid voters since almost ten of our people were not even eligible to cast a ballot in this election. The only way to combat that is to get people involved. We are already starting the process of engaging with our members and we need to go beyond what we have done in the past and aggressively encourage our people to get involved, to run for office and to bring both ideas and legislation to the table especially when they serve in office.

We also need to assert our positions and our mainstream values and principles to both give our people a reason to turn out and vote, but also to remain within the boundaries of a competitive playing field and maintain our unity going forward. This is a delicate balancing act to bring both the passion of an energetic advocacy for values while at the same time remaining a mainstream force that can bring conservatives and right of center people together, but it is one that I am very familiar with and one that we have excelled at in the past.

No one person can deliver this party back to the White House, but together as a team we can achieve that hurdle and win back the White House, the Congress and the Regions for Federalism (Yes Lumine, I am steeling this phrase Tongue).

I hereby appoint AustralianSwingVoter as Federalist Party Secretary!

I am still working on what to do about other positions. if you are interested let me know, also consider the caucuses as well, since they have various positions dealing with outreach/recruitment and so on depending on their individual bylaws.
