Okay shua, Amendment split.

If you approve the split, we can proceed with a vote on your amendment minus the section he deems friendly. The friendly section will become a second shua amendment to the bill that 24 hours can be called upon. By putting the unfriendly stuff in the older of the two, we can move to a vote quicker on that.

If you reject a split, we will just move forward to a vote on the whole thing.

Time expires on 60:48 tomorrow evening.

Doubling up amendments is always a bit of risk, particularly when people get lazy. On the flip side, they can save time. Tongue An essential aspect is to put both amendments in one post like I did and then people can see what both are and what is happening with each and why.

They just have read it and if they don't they can be directed to it, Alfred. Tongue

Imagine if we had been voting on both. Evil We can do that too I think as long as the debate times are lapsed for both and there is no overlap, but it is a trade off with the confusion factor. Numbering system really comes in handy then too.

Does anyone have a fix to section 3 that takes into account what happens if the parents can't come to an arrangement between them as to how to share the paid leave?

What do mean exactly? I am not sure if I understand what you mean by "share the paid leave"?

Are you talking abotu divorced parents?

So an amendment providing for courts to resolve it as part of custody hearings then?

Not particularly shua, I wish I could be of more help but I know very little about this. It has been seven years since I took Family Law as a college level elective in high school and I know little about how to structure a statute on this matter.

Duke would probably have a better knowledge if he has taken courses on the matter, but of course he is rather unavailable right now.
