Its not like the phone recording is any less real then it was in 2010. And as along as that is floating around, Buck will never get the time of day from the soccer moms in Jefferson County.
You mean wishy-washy moderates who can't make their mind up until the last minute and based their vote on emotion instead of logic?
They made up their mind pretty quickly once that tape came out in 2010 and they pretty much decided to vote for Obama based on stuff that had happened back in February (and August with Akin), so they can't be that indecisive. Like them or not, they decide the balance in Colorado, in New Hampshire and in Virginia now, which means they hold the keys to the White House for a Republican.
You can win with a Pro-Life candidate in Colorado, but they cannot afford to be stupid anymore. Buck was stupid, you don't theorize an alternative explanation for a rape because you lack evidence, more or less do it over the phone. You apologize for not having the evidence and invite the person to sit down and discuss the details if want to do so and you have time, but you keep your mouth shut and remain sympathetic even while letting the evidence guide you. Everyone agreed he had made the right call legally speaking, his problem was his mouth, just like Akin, Mourdock and a number of others. This is a new reality that has to be accepted in the YouTube era.
