It has come to my attention that there is another amendment that has been introduced that by Senator shua deals with a single clause (#2) present in the larger amendment offered here by Senator bgwah. Considering the scope of Senator bgwah's is slightly larger, I am introducing his one as a stand-alone bill and I encourage the sponsor of the other Amendment, Senator shua, to withdraw it and instead offer an amendment to clause 2 of this bill to change it to his version if he so desires to pursue the language he used in his amendment.

I added the Holiday part per Yankee's request. If that is approved as a separate amendment, then I would just remove clause 3 of this amendment.

With 2 outstanding conflicts this bill certainly will be confusing. Tongue

Either that or make the language of those lines, the same as what is in the Holiday amendment.

I can start a final vote as soon as 8:05 pm tonight. Are there any other synchonizations that need to be done first?

To what you suggest earlier? If so you might also have to remove the part about Holidays. I will make two potential suggestions

1. Remove the Holiday Section.

or.

2. Make it 100% like the Holiday text in the other bill. Just so you know, the other one is 1 Aye vote short of passage right now.

Senator bgwah, are you ready to proceed with removing that section then, since the Holiday amendment is at the regions?

I should note it is failing in IDS and the NE has yet to open a booth (not suprising considering the lost their Governor just as it when out of the Senate).

Yes, sorry, I can see how it could be easy to miss.

I'm not sure if the language in this is redundant or if there's a distinction between the first and second sentences that is not obvious. I strongly encourage the Senate to clarify the language before sending it off to the people.

The only way to do this would be to fail the current vote and reintroduce the amendment. Considering what the Governors have to go through to ratify it, that might be the easier way then have to ratify yet another amendment in the next weeks.
