Oh great, looks like Fritz and Kalwejt will win. Two horrible human beings. -_-

I mean, I've seen alot of people criticizing Kalwejt over the months, and I certainly don't agree that he's a "horrible human being." But Fritz?

The arrogance from that one is truly amazing at times.

If arrogance detemined the horribleness of people, then 75% of the human race would be in such an utter state dispicableness, one would naturally lose faith in the said species completely if they haven't already.

Good to see you Jedi, its been some time.

Speaking of arrogance, I do beleive I am on the verge of stealing you title of longest continuous Senate service. Tongue Atleast I think you hold that distinction. Wink

No, Gabu beat me out on that by a few months, not exactly sure by how much though.

Well Hamilton said I was about to become the longest continous serving Senator in Atlasian History. Of course quoting Hamilton is like quoting Wikipedia in a research paper. Wink

Gabu was a Senator for 561 days. MasterJedi was only a Senator for 549 days.

You will beat them both if you complete your fifth term, with 609 days, serving a complete ten Senates in a row.

As for non-continuous, Bacon King is still well ahead of you, having served in about 13 Senates, and already elected to #14. Afleitch has been in 11.

Its not important really. I only mention it because, "someone" made such an issue of it when I decided to run again.

Why did SPC do so bad, did I miss some kind of scandal?

I ran a superbly strong campaign for one. We had a good race, and he got in late at a time when most of the Populares had already endorsed me. I think that despite the heated arguements over my record and the interpretation of it, I think we remained above any really personal attacks (Dishonesty, stupidy, Aqua Budda, etc) and I am glad that we managed to not damage our personal friendship over the race. I hope he changes his mind about leaving Atlasia. Love him our hate him, he is a passionate voice for what he beleives and Atlasian needs more passion not less.

I really don't know why MJ hates me so fiercely.  My arrogance??  Wha..?

Like I said earlier, I did nothing to deserve his hatred.  Maybe you're right, Earl- he hates me because I'm gay.

You're a gay?  Damn, And it's too late to change my vote. Wink

JCP has plenty of gays. Tongue

I want to say that at one point last year the entire JCP Senate delegation was gay. (Just checked. I was correct. At least in the 32nd Senate, all JCP Senators were gay.)

Well that's gay... Tongue

Good times were had by all in the meetings of the JCP coc-.. caucus. Tongue

Pics or it didn't happen!

Lets not give Jedi and Gustaf a hard time on a Saturday. Tongue

I think the right certainly underperformed... And you can't blame the JCP for that!

Still, it's what, Fritz +4 right now? Out of 100+ votes? That's certainly no landslide. It's pretty close, and close Presidential elections are always interesting.

I didn't intend to blame the JCP in my post, bgwah. It's all on us. Your party had a vastly superior turnout machine this time around, especially given most expected my ticket to win. Kudos to you.

My point is, the writing for yet-another-collapse of the right has been on the wall for a bit, starting when Barnes won his race. I remember warning people behind the scenes that event was a sign of things to come. I was right.
The JCP has a great turnout machine. It's mainly better because all of their zombies are active members of the site, while the right has to depend on less-active members getting online during election periods.

Absolutely. The zombie machine on the right was built on people who came from God knows where, and after a few months, they stop checking this site for orders to vote, while the zombies on the left are well known members, for the most part, and come on here daily. Tongue This problem will undoubtedly affect the Populares, as was seen in the NE Senate race, where it is clear the once stronghold for the POP party is no longer theirs.

I am pleased to see RPP turnout was 80% this election. Well done, regardless of the outcome. Tongue

Due to attrition, the influx of the DAers and the increased activity of some like A-bob, and others since early this year, the RPP has in some ways become a smaller version of the JCP in terms of most of our people being active on the forum, hence do to smaller size and that factor, its not hard to get to 80% turnout. What we need to do going forward is to encourage or try to spark a regeneration of activity amongst some of our strongest talents in the RPP pool (Jedi, Smid, Afleitch, Fezzy, Rowan, etc). But really there isn't much we can do if they are tied up with personal issues and such, have RL priorities that are far more important, or are just plain bored as hell.

This election result and specifically the last few hours is very much like the end of Chrono Crusade, the clock ticks down and the two main characters die when the time runs out (which runs exactly concurrent with the sun setting completely in the horizon).

Andrew2 = Fail2

Damn. Part of the problem was Andrew being so busy in RL for the bulk of the campaign meaning he didn't have time to work the swing votes, so he lost them.

Great idea, but it was probably doomed from the start.

You JCPers really overestimated the unity of what was the DA and the independents and understimated your likelhood of splitting them fairly evenly.

The expectation that Andrew would win was dependent on an assumption that was proven incorrect over the course of the election, so I suppose I cannot altogether blame you folks for your evident prognostication failure.

Anyway, the right will most certainly not gain seats in December. This is an example of spinning expectations, but the statement is also 100% true regardless.

Yea that is just ridiculous. They are At-Large seats.
