I oppose this. We should amend the original bill to include intent and malice and well as give some latitude to the Atty General as to whether or not it should be prosecuted.

Someone (I forget who) indicated that there is something in the website's terms of service and/or Dave's rules for the site prohibiting the postings of PMs. Is that true? Is there some real world reason Atlasia must have some form of the Privacy Protection Act?

Peter said a while ago that the provision in the TOS regarding Private Messages was removed. So no there isn't. The only reason we have this one now is because PiT posted a message log between Tmthforu94 and Marokai back during the first week of June.

Not the "only" reason. There've been other incidents according to some people I've talked to, but it was the most prominent and highlighted the need for such protection.

It was the straw the broke the camels back. And it deprived me of three hours of much needed sleep before one of my End of Course exams the next day. I am still angry about that. Angry. Shame on you Marokai, PiT and Tmth for costing me 6 points and making me get a 94 on an exam. Shame on you all. Tongue

Aye

It would most likely be over turned in the courts anyway, so it doesn't matter.
