I've only been chairman for a few weeks now, but it is woefully apparent that we will not be allowed to reform in the eyes of the DA. I made a speech recently and lined out the direction in which I wanted to see the RPP move, and all I received was a bunch of scoffing and quiet ears. While I plan on moving forward with allowing the party to elect a chairman who will then do what the members want, I find the DA's excuse extremely weak on why they backed out on Jedi. It's easy to pile the blame on DWTL, but he's been acting the same way now for a year. The only thing that changed was the zombie voting rumor/speculation that the JCP decided to float to turn focus away from their own zombie voting. I am still waiting on some proof that we are doing outside recruiting, because I have yet to be notified of such practices, and I won't go on a witch hunt and accuse those without that proof.

I find it extremely disrespectful that Jedi was treated in such a manner, and even more insulting that the DA continues to preach "pragmatism," "individuality," and the like when they hardly practice it. Jedi has been one of the most independent members of this party through and through, yet all of a sudden he's a member of the oppressive elite? He deserves far, far better.

I'll be the first to admit that DWTL's antics can be poisonous for our party's chances. The whole "he's mean and we all of a sudden do not want to be associated with him" excuse reeks of a last minute copout. His behavior has not changed. When we see Purple State endorsing him for Senate over Fritz a while ago, we can understand that the only thing that has changed is PS, who no longer needs to RPP to get reelected.

In October when we elect a chairman and become more democratic, we'll hear the same, tired story about how we are oppressive and horrible people with DWTL running the show behind the scenes. It is a shame too, because the RPP is full of people willing and able to work with the DA on their agenda, yet the DA seems more secure with allowing their main opposition to dominate the landscape and ensuring their agenda never gets passed. The game may not be about winning, but what is it about to you all? It must not be about the DA's agenda either. What is it? It seems to me that the DA is more interested in looking good to the populace rather than standing for anything.

Because, if the Dishonest Alliance, as like to call them cause I find there existence totally disingenious, were to take a position on anything, then they would no longer be centrist or able to split the difference between the two parties other parties. Looking good to the populace gets them what they need, not what they may want in the adjenda. Indeed its almost a self fulfilling prophecy, many expected them to collaspe by siding with us and taking a stand for united purpose with united goals behind a bipartisan ticket whether that be PiT/HW or Jedi/Franzl. As it turned out they instead choose to preserve a meaningless existence, but isn't that the fate of all "moderate heros".

For the record I believe it was a jerk move on the DA's part to drop out on Jedi like that. I don't care what party Jedi is part of he is a hell of an independent thinker and would've made a great ticket with Franzl. However, I was under the impression that we dropped out of the ticket because we wanted to run our very own all DA ticket. Maybe I'm just shooting blanks here.......

We need to stop this childish BS and start acting like adults.

What I'd like to know is how you win? If you are an ass people won't work with you but if you are nice and are friends with a lot of people but the people around you are an ass even if you don't follow them and are independent you still get screwed over?

I still like serveral people in the RPP. Some of which I believe are well respected members of Atlasia, hell even DWDL and I get along. Sometimes. Either way, I'm not going to be a part of the bickering back and fourth. Lets face it, the RPP needs the DA, the DA needs the RPP, just like every other party needs the others help to win races.

I agree. I think there is too much of a tendency for people to get real close to others around here and it only sets people up to fail.

I have no problem with NiK associating with Hamilton off site and doesn't in anyway deal with the game. I think he is going a little to easy on Hamilton for my comfort and he shouldn't regret doing what he did. He did the best thing for the game, for himself, and ironically for Hamilton himself.

I also think he was a little hard on DWTL, but its pretty common knowlege that DWTL often lacks long term vision and definately lets feuds get in his way. But he has redeeming qualities that few would understand.

Lol, Josh wasn't a Hamilton spy. Vepres wasn't a Hamilton spy and didn't want anything to do with him. To your credit, you did succeed at making us a major party. But, if you help alienate members such as Tmth, Josh, and Vepres, all that work you stove for will be undone.

And Antonio, I haven't communicated with him about the game at all. Most of the time past August, I didn't. It was more of political ideals/other stuff. It was only till recently that I started to again. So I don't know if that fits the definition of "Epic fail". I accepted the consequences of what I did, and I know I probably helped Hamilton in posting the PMs, long term though. I should have waited until the bill passed in the Senate however.

DWTL successfully led us on our meteoric rise from two members in August 2008 to being the Largest Party after the February 2009 elections. Despite that you illogically blame him for losing in June he did win create the alliance with the DA that actually won by two or  three votes among all votes cast. Of course when you deal in Zombies you have inelligible voters. Of course your Atlasia and Tmth's is full of that sh**t. Also the vice chair tradtionally has handled all the recruitment. So yes PiT did most of the recruitment.

Mostly trolls and/or friends. We already had 15-16 members and two confirmed they would join later. It really was not a difficult goal. We had already surpassed the LNF and about met the DA.

What can be said though, is that out of 22 total votes for the ARC candidate, at least ten of them are zombies. Nearly HALF of the ARC candidate votes in the Senate elections were zombies! Other candidates aren't innocent, of course. Badger had a couple zombies, Fritz had one, Afleitch had one, Barnes had one or two. But none of these candidates relied so heavily that quite literally 50% of their total support came from them!

And then Duke had none, then, or atleast too few to be mentioned?

No, man, Atlasia sucked when I was gone. There was a reason I kept making and blowing up plots. Seeing the reaction people had was much more fun than the alternative.

Not refering to your absence as the reason I enjoyed it more, but the presence of so many trolls that couldn't care less about actually having fun but merely seeking power disturbs me, and does indeed make me dread even reading any relatively long thread simply because I'm sick of the bitchfest between the ARC and everyone else.

It was Marokai and DWTL who started the fire. The ARC have merely defended themselves since.
