Wow, I didn't think Boxer was in a position to be dragged below 50%.  Is she not as popular as I assumed?

Boxer has never been that popular. The republicans could take this seat if they ran somebody sane but they refuse to do it.

     Someone sane & insanely loaded.

Schwarzenegger is termed out in 2010 according to Politics1.com.  Is that incorrect?  I know he'll have served only a little more than 7 years as Governor when his current term ends but if California has a two-term limit for Governors I would think he would be termed out next year.  But I don't know how the relevant California law reads.

You're correct but I don't think you're looking at the board name or thread title.

Oh yeah, my bad.  I didn't think Barbara Boxer was interested in running for Governor.  From what I've heard about her, I don't think she'd be particularly well suited for it, unlike Diane Feinstein who ran for Governor in 1990 and whose name I have heard mentioned as a possible 2010 candidate for Governor.  (I don't know how credible that is, but that's a topic for the Gubernatorial/Statewide Elections board.)

Feinstein was mayor of S.F. at one point, so I could see her wanting to be Governor. But yeah, this isn't really the place to talk about it.
