It can be from any series, though there are some series that I suspect will have more choices here than others.

For me, it would have to be "The City on the Edge of Forever" from TOS. Dramatic, touching, & complete with a real hard choice to make for the protagonists.

I think one unsung from the original series was "The Doomsday Machine."

Really? I've heard many people say that episode was excellent. The ones from TOS that I find to be really underrated are "Spectre of the Gun," & to a lesser extent, "The Changeling."

Amusing doesn't cut it for me. I need drama. Angry My favorite episode that was also amusing is "Assignment: Earth."

It annoys me how Star Wars is "cool" in popular culture, but Star Trek is "nerdy"

Wrong.  Both are supremely nerdy.

The stereotype though is that you're either a Star Trek person or a Star Wars person. Most people I know love Star Trek, but absolutely detest Star Wars. Smiley

I remember this thread. Wink I didn't do it by series so I will do so now.

TOS: The City on the Edge of Forever
TNG: The Best of Both Worlds
DS9: didn't watch
VOY: Future's End
ENT: too bad to choose any of them
