I don't know how MasterJedi isn't on that presidential list, when it is pretty common knowledge that he is the candidate.

Well to be fair it would be in the RPP's best interest if MasterJedi runs for re-election instead of for the presidency. It would make more sense, especially if PiT and AHDuke are running for president. After all, MasterJedi would have a more likely chance of being re-elected than winning the presidency. However, that is not to say a presidential run is out of the question due to his reputation as a respectable senator. We won't know for a few weeks at least for sure.
I hope he runs for the presidency (being honest here folks). He and the other candidates would make good presidents for Atlasia.

Actually, MasterJedi has a better chance of being elected President than Senate at this point, and PiT and AHDuke and MasterJedi will not run against each other. Only one of them can be our nominee in the end, so wait til the convention to find out.

Yeah, MasterJedi's chances nationwide against Lief would be much better than his chances in the Midwest against Mechaman. There's really no two ways about it.

I had no idea I was seen as that powerful of a choice.

It's more of a number game. The political makeup of the Midwest is not, to say the least, representative of the entire Atlasia's political makeup.

Correct. For one, loonies make up a much larger proportion of the Midwestern electorate than they do of Atlasia at-large. I think Mechaman would win them pretty easily against MasterJedi.

If I never deleted my PMs, I think I'd probably be around 6000-7000 by now. Since I delete them fairly often, though, I'm only at 618.

Bgwah has raised quite a bit for someone who could not be safer if everybody else in the world suddenly became Amish.

Well he is a party Chairmen and a former President. It could be that his COH is residual cash from then. His fundraising of about $4 mill isn't that large compared to tmth or I.

Though there are other Senators have raised much more, they might be subject to contentious election challenges. Bgwah, on the other hand, is as safe as any elected official could possibly be.

And less than a year later they were elected as running mates.

I guess this means Badger/Libertas will be a ticket next Spring. Cheesy

I'd probably vote for that. Bad bills would not be able to succeed if they went to a tiebreaker. Tongue

Purple State was quite possibly the least pleasant person in Atlasia (Fluffy included) during his stint in the Senate.
Impossible. Fluffy takes, and eats, the cake.

Who is "Fluffy"?

DownWithTheLeft. It's a nickname that Xahar coined, as I recall.

Who is "Fluffy"?

Someone who had no significance until about August 2008 when he struck gold. Then less then a year later let it slip away, and in process of trying to reestablish his grip, he lost whatever respect he may have had even among his former supporters.

He also had a knack for creating enemies unnecessarily. I mean HappyWarrior? That's like declaring war on the Easter bunny, all you do is piss off the children and gain nothing from it except convince everyone you have no brains and are a class 1 a-hole.

'Fluffy' declared war on HappyWarrior?

He declared war on basically everybody. He even went after me & I built the RPP from the ground up. It's amazing the RPP ever got to five Senate seats.

How and why did he do this? What did he hope to gain from doing that?

September & October of last year, I sided with tmth & Hamilton in opposing DWTL's increasingly absolutist leadership. He openly scorned my bid to become party Chairman & actually joined the JCP for a brief time because other people thought that they could come in & have a say in "his" party. He didn't want to give up the power that he held, basically.

Are your sure? I don't you think you give a damn enough. Tongue There are certainly levels involved in giving a damn, and while you may give a damn it may not be enough to meet our "technical" defination of what consitutes giving a damn.

So how will you determine if one meets the technical definition of giving a damn? Tests of some sort?

Well the reaction to it. Just saying you give a damn is an indication of fakery. Tongue If you give really gave a damn you would have said something like this: "How dare you attack this fine paper, known for its integrity, with your filfty piece of trash newspaper, you cold, heartless beast".

No that is giving a damn. Tongue

Well I do not outwardly give a damn. That would be...illogical. Tongue

Well that causes a problem because we need accountability and if it isn't outwardly displayed then it can't be tested. As George Bush once said, "You can't have that unless you measure".

You can't objectively measure your inner emotions unless your display them in outward form, sometime, somewhere.

Point made, eh? I am a rather stoic person anyway, so it would be the height of irony for me to be the only person in all of Atlasia to give a damn.
