What persuades you to recommend so many of my posts? I'm not a popular fellow on here, so I notice when someone likes what I have to say.
Simply put you are one of the higher-quality right-wing posters who still posts on the forum proper. You aren't a R hack, nor are you particularly combative towards other posters (or at least you haven't been since I registered here during the first half of Trump's presidency). Other Leipverse members have characterized your current views in... rather unflattering terms, but I don't have a clear idea of what those are, and I haven't seen you express any sort of the kind of bigotry that many posters have gotten permabanned for.
I often find myself agreeing with your perspective on many issues on some level, despite being on the opposite side of the political spectrum as you. I think this is partly because you are definitely not an immature high schooler or college student like many of the prolific pandemic-era posters appear to be. From what I remember you've said about yourself, you have a STEM academic/professional background and you're from a Titanium D metro area- and you don't exhibit the (rhetorical at least) anti-intellectualism, parochialism, or disdain for (certain aspects of) big cities that many right-leaning figures here have.
Thanks for the kind words. Some days I wonder why I still spend time on Atlas, but if you find my posts edifying then that makes it worthwhile for me. And you are correct about my background, but the factor I would give the most credit for making me who I am is having a highly intelligent mother who helped teach me how to think from a young age.
At any rate, I will digress since this is your topic and not mine, but I was curious about your perspective since I realized I didn't know much about you other than often seeing your display name in my recommends. Your answer was very informative and I greatly appreciate it.
