     So is there a point other than you can get married by the region and it counts as getting married by the feds? Otherwise, there is really nothing to stop a region from creating an institution and calling it "marriage".

      Defender of the Realm is a temporary position pending the end of the court case. The legislative seat shouldn't be vacant. Christ....

     Things are moving along nicely. I suspect we are nearing the endof the queue.

     It turns out that Simfan is suing us. I wonder if we could...enlist Jbrase to defend us there as well, since he is the Defender of the Realm. Only if he has the time for it, of course, since he is already also arguing our own lawsuit.

     I brought it up largely because I was hoping that we wouldn't have to go through another hearing, but looking at the statute it is pretty clear that we will. Thank you for your willingness. Please start working on the brief as soon as you can, because we'll be on a strict timeframe.


     In order to represent the region in court in the lawsuit filed by Mr. Simfan, I will nominate a member of our region for Defender of the Realm, and one who is currently serving as Defender of the Realm in a case of our own making.

     Pursuant to the Abolishment of Pointless Offices Bill as amended by the Amendment to the Abolishment of Pointless Offices Bill, I hereby nominate Jbrase for Defender of the Realm.

     After discussion with a certain couple of people whose opinions I needed on the matter, I am ready to make my nomination for the first holder of the newly recreated office of IDS Attorney General. I hereby nominate myself for IDS Attorney General.
