How would a Reagan less ticket for 1980 turn out? John Anderson also still runs.

Baker wins in a landslide.

Baker/Heckler--434 EV
Carter/Modale--104 EV

Why wouldn't Heckler help Baker win Massachusetts if Reagan won it with Bush though?

I think the map pretty much would be similar, only Baker would do a little better than Reagan in the South, and win Hawaii. I really wish he had been the nominee instead of Reagan. He would have been such a better president.

I'm just curious, what makes you think Baker would have been a better Prez than Reagan? Didn't he also support Trickle-Down Economics?

Well I just don't like Reagan, and while in theory trickle-down economics wasn't a horrible idea, he neglected to cut federal spending at equal levels to the tax cuts he emplaced. Baker would have listened and brought in Democrat legislative voices into policy making more often and effectively then Reagan, and would have been more responsible in economics. Foreign policy wise the two probably would have pursued similar courses.
