This gimmick is a shameless attempt to keep returning players in the game longer (much like Redemption Island for Boston Rob, Russell, Coach, and Ozzy back in the day).

I'm never a fan of mixing returning players and new players. Looking forward to see Joe, Kelley, David, and Aubry run the game

Awful and horrible season, we all know why. Let's all pretend it never happened and move on to season 40.

This is my ranking. Objectively this last season is probably 'better', but just on a visceral level it left me feeling gross. Everything post-merge is pretty much tainted to me by the merge episode.

I'm really not a fan of modern Survivor. Somewhere between 31 and 33 the show started going off the rails in terms of the advantages, idols, and questionable twists. I thought 25-30, 32 had the right balance of unpredictability to prevent Pagongings while still keeping the game understandable. Nowadays the show is borderline incomprehrensible.

This is like the Avengers: Infinity War/End Game of Survivor! All the stars of their seasons coming together for this one. I was so hyped to see all these interactions between Survivor legends.

Really could do without EoE and fire tokens though. This cast is great enough to make the season stand on it own, production is ruining the flow of the season with all these over the top twists.

Russell might be even more polarizing than Trump.

Great winner, although this season was not the best. Ben, Denise, and Nick were almost total duds this season. Kim was the only person from like the F10 on who realized how dangerous Tony was. For winners at war season the gameplay was surprisingly tentative.

Nick is a Trump supporter. He has admitted so on twitter. Also he was in the RHAP patreon facebook group before he was on Survivor where he was known for posting MRA content. That's why that chart said 'LOL do you need to ask', all of the hardcore Survivor fans know that he's a Republican.

Tony is a registered Democrat and has made anti-Trump comments on twitter in the past, so I think we can safely say he is not conservative.

The rest of the chart is mostly accurate, although more of them are registered independents than you'd think. From when I last checked, these are each of their party registrations:

Republicans: Nick, Danni, Sarah
Independent: Rob, Amber, Kim, Michele, Natalie
Democrat: Adam, Denise, Ethan, Jeremy, Sandra, Sophie, Tony, Wendell, Yul
Not registered/I couldn't find them: Tyson, Ben, Parvati

I thought 43 was a weak season with passive gameplay, boring characters, and an underwhelming F3 and winner.

Apparently production thinks 44 >>>>>>> 43, so I am hoping that that is better. The preview looked promising.

This link has some unconfirmed speculation on their political affiliations:

Carolyn's dad is a Democratic state senator. Someone pointed that out to me after she mentioned the phrase 'dark horse' early on in the season:

Danny might be Republican, based on the somewhat toxic and terminally online fans who sleuth Instagram/twitter likes and follows:

FWIW Jaime follows Obama, AOC, Bernie, Biden, Kamala, and Stacey Abrams on twitter but no conservatives.

Agreed that outside of Danny everyone else seems more likely to be Democratic. It was a very educated, diverse, and white collar cast so I'm not surprised.
