Beattie, from the ALP, will almost certainly still be Premier in a couple of weeks.

ALP has a huge majority and is winning in the polls, so...

Also, Springborg, the opposition leader, had a family crisis last week when his father-in-law killed himself.

If it wasnt for that, this'd be an exceptionally boring campaign.

Beattien is a little bit of a knob, but good on him. Vague comisserations to Springborg and co.

Next up, VIC and NSW, (ie the important ones Wink)

not sure on nsw. Basically, ALP will win here but Ballieu is doing alright.
