Just saw a triple header of Juno, Another Gay Movie, and Cloverfield. Loved-Laughed-Loathed.

The Bourne Ultimatum.

Good to end the series, but a p[retty useless movie, especially compared to the other two.

Last three: Charlie Bartlett (worthwhile, great acting if a slightly confused storyline), The Business (a good timewaster) and Before Sunset (clever and enjoyable, but not really re-watchable).

2005 Nick Love/Danny Dyer collaboration? I know someone who is in that -he's been in quite a few of Love's films.
Indeed. Danny Dyer is cute Smiley

Ladies and Gentlemen, I am the very model of a modern major procrastinator; in the last 24 hours I have watched: LA Confidential, Accepted, Get Ready to Be Boyzvoiced, The Football Factory and half of Indian Jones and the Temple of Doom.

Illegal intra-college file sharing doesn't help.

Some pretty good films there. You seem to be a bit of a Nick Love fan or is it just Danny Dyer? I'd recommend Goodbye Charlie Bright if you can get hold of it. I think Danny Dyer might have a small part in it as well.

Just saw Night on Earth. Pretty good series of vignettes; the Winona Ryder one is pretty weak though.
I haven't seen night on earth, I might give it a go.

I've only seen The Business and The Football Factory, but I enjoyed both quite a bit. The acting is strong, on the whole, and the directing is good, in that both films do seem to follow characters well, not just jump from scene to scene with no depth.

Unlike 'Across the Universe', which I watched last night. Highly dissapointing.

And I loved your little ditty, The Mikado Wink

The History Boys

Lovely and Depressing. I will watch it again, i'm sure; I just don't feel like doing it to myself yet Cheesy

The next movies on the list are: Dig, Partition, White Chicks, The Phantom Tollbooth, Idiocracy, Saturday Night Fever, The Benchwarmers, Candy, The Band's Visit, The Prestige, Kokoda, Blades of Glory, Shrek 3, The Illustionist and The Producers.  Any ideas about which order?

I watched Don's Party and Running With Scissors last night.

Don's Party was kinda funny, and very retro; Running With Scissors i'll have to watch again to really judge.

Romeo + Juliet - Awful.  Just awful; I'm reading the play now, and I was appalled at how things were set up; especially the Queen Mab speech, and the party at Capulet's house.
Are you talking of William Shakespeare's Romeo + Juliet?

If so, prepare to die.

I am indeed talking of that particular film.  It was awful.

Wow. This is how you lose friends.

Frost/Nixon.

Well...

The 'point' of the movie seemed to be to show the true characters of Frost and Nixon. Basically, it was a fictional story using a real event and presented as a docu-drama, and so I walked out shoveling the salt on. It's a great story, showing the intertwining ambitions of the protagonists and it has depth in the way they interact with the world around them. But, it would be an equally compelling film if it wasn't pretending to be about a real historical event, in fact it might even be better if the story was lifter, Nixon was replaced by some other powerful figure who had suffered a downfall.

It was a good movie. I'm just concerned that it was a bad use of history.

The King's Speech. Good atmosphere, good acting, good script. Oscar bait for Colin Firth and Geoffrey Rush, for sure.

Scent of a Woman

Shameless Oscar bait. Spotty (at best) plot, but the acting was good enough to maintain my attention.

Oh, I also finally saw The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou and I think it's my favorite live action Wes Anderson movie now.

Same here, great film. The Royal Tenenbaums is definitely his most overrated.

I feel exactly the opposite.
