Every day, a new country, with photos selected from all over the internet, but especially from a great site Bono introduced to me, www.TrekEarth.com

I've been putting a new one on my desktop every day, and thought I should bring the idea to the forum Smiley

Today we'll start with Afghanistan.

It is, quite rightly, titled "Two Generations".

That looks Middle Eastern or from the Mediterranean I'm guessing.

It wasn't until I saw the title "2 Generations" that the meaning of the other picture became clear. That was really neat. Hopefully the girls in the background are from the younger generation, and the women in front will be able to stop wearing burkas soon, if they are still being forced to by peer pressure.

that was Albania. I'll try Algeria, although I have limited faith...

Antarctica had some absolutely stunning photos, and it was very difficult to get it down to just one. Here it is, however.

That's in the middle of an iceberg.

Thanks, Gabu. I'll use that.

AkSaber-I'm considering with the UK, Canada, the US and Australia splitting it down to states/provinces/countries or whatever. I might do the same for Germany and Brazil.

I haven't even finished 'A' yet, Pollo.

Christmas hiatus ends tomorrow with the final instalment of Argentina.
