Incidents at Liverpool Street also. All underground stopped; everyone evacuated from every train and station in the network.

This isn't random.

A BUS HAS EXPLOEDED IN CENTRAL LONDON.

It's terrorists.

Edit: Russel square, if that makes sense. Top deck of double decker gone.

'Cabinet updated'.

Blair to comment shortly, apparently

al qaeda attacking b/c of 2012 olympics suits quite well. I reckon if Paris won, it would've been there.

Well, I hope that everything resolves itself sooner rather then later, and that there are no further incidents. On behalf of my family, I offer support for Britons at this time Sad

Goodnight, Al.

First of all, all my sympathy for the ones who lost a parent, a friend, or just saw, lived, or were injured by the attacks.

Those attacks had in France ( and I think also in Spain, Germany ...) an extremely deep impact. New York, Madrid, London now, who's next ? It's just terrible, and I hope we won't have anymore such quarrels like english food between our presidents or prime ministers. Working together looks to be the only way to prevent attacks. I hope my prayers will be heard.

Of the four 'allies' pre-Iraq, Australia is the only one left unattacked now-at least on home soil-but I think it's unlikely to affect me. It won't change how I act, anyway; but it does make you wonder if we'll be next.

Again, i'd like to pass on sympathies.

What the terrorists don't seem to understand is something that is universal within the good people of the UK, as well as America, Australia, etc. They don't understand that we have compassion and we also have guts.

A terrorist may think himself courageous by blowing up a bus they're on. But true courage was seen in Britain many times over the thousands of years of Britain, shown in the Blitz, shown when England was to be invaded by the Spanish, shown during the IRA attacks.

The poms might be awful at sports, but there is one thing no other country will beat them at-resilience. Britain is unique-it gets attacked and doesn't have the emotive reactions that the US has; it doesn't get the nationalistic fevour of Australia, it doesn't blame the government-and it doesn't accept that it will be attacked and not respond. When it responds, it will respond in the wisest fashion of all those attacked, I have no doubt.

I'm not a huge fan of Britain, often. Your weather looks awful and your soaps are sh**te. But the British people deserve our respect, and in times like these, our support.

We might not be living under your roof any more, but we support the mother country down here. We've probably lost a couple of Aussies in this attack, sign that Australians are still in the UK and our ties are close. I hope the ties between our people only grow closer.
