as a very rich man, I'd like to tremind everyone that the AFL is the Australian Football League, playing Australian Rules. Whilst I'm sure they'd be happy to let the Atlasian football league exist, it'd only be if it was aussie rules, not gridiron Wink

Also, will buy the Portland Wave. They'll play aussie rules even if noone else does Cheesy

Team colours: Sky and Navy Blue, Mascot: Pete the surfer.

But this is the AFL, right?

OK, i'll stop be a thorn.

Hmmn, how about whoever won the superbowl in a year nobody has picked yet...maybe 1995?

I don't know terribly much about gridiron.

Oh, and we'll play at the newly constructed Portland Olympic Park, built for our bid for the 2016 games Cheesy

we'll also play 1/4 of our home games in Honolulu, and our team name shall now be "The Western Bulldogs".

colours are now royalblue-white-red-white-royal blue strpes, and our mascot is...a Bulldog Smiley

Also, Portland are now the Western Bulldogs, and will play their home games against San Jose and Newark in Honolulu.

I would suggest the team from Northeast Philly rename themselves "Pennsylvania", to avoid confusion between the names, and Play some of their home games in Pittsburgh, to avoid a flooded market in Philly.

why not at least rename to Pennsylvania, even if you do play in the same city?

New York City has like...18 million people.

Philly has 3? 4?

maybe it can stay-maybe-but I stronglyu, strongly recommend the name is changed to Pennsylvania. It not only sounds better, but it also avoids confusion and makes business sense by appealing to a wider market then just one area of one city in the state.

I can't read anything but the scores; I have no idea who the players are or the scoring system, but I do know the Doggies have won two in a row.

King-I believe that the Western vs. San Jose game is one of ther two being played in Hawaii-neutral ground. In hindsight, that was probably a mistake, but hey, it gives Hawaii a spot in the limelight Smiley

Also I think the Hawaiians will slightly faour us because we're playing some games there, so we have a bit of a link...hmmn...

home teams always go first, so Western vs. San Jose means Western hosting San Jose.

bah, only just #1, King.

Isn't it cool that two of the three undefeated teams are owned by people who know absolutely nothing about gridiron and therefore picked teams they had no real attachment to?

After King told me the result of the Doggies vs. Kings game, I asked him to run it again unofficially.

I won't say the results, besides that i'm sure King is glad it isn't a best-of-three series Wink

Oh well, still doing well Smiley

59% of the attendance in the fieldside seats for rich people who can afford to fly all over the place. The actual attendance figures were 57% Bulldogs 39% Kings 4% unaffiliated.

oh OK...

It's just that Hawaii is hosting two Bulldogs games this year, including one against San Jose and one against Newark. Obviously somewhere along the road we gotr confused a bit with which Bulldogs/Kings game was being played in Hawaii. Either way, Hawaii leans to the Bulldogs because it is the only team that cares enough about the island to have multiple games there, plus also the name Smiley

In fairness to you accidentally giving up a home game (if that's what happenned), the other San Jose/Bulldogs game will also be held in Hawaii.
