Is Hudson a pivotal county for Democrats? The sort of place they must win big to offset any GOP strength elsewhere in the state

I guess it must be since Kerry carried it by 67% to 32% in 2004, which means it could be a close run gubnatorial race

Not necessarily, you can expect pretty large MOVs for the Democrats out of Mercer, Essex, and Camden counties.  And Corzine is still leading by 22 pts according to that poll.
