They were controversial because you know what she's getting at and the nerve in white America she's trying to strike, and it has nothing to do with St. Nick's history or the classification of Greeks.  Fox pulls this dangerous trick a lot and people have every right to call them out on it.

The idea of Santa Claus having a set 'canon' is comical.

It is, and it's not even what Fox is getting at.  They constantly try to elicit reverse-racism nonsense in their viewers and it's disgusting.
