HockeyDude makes just as many insulting blanket statements about conservatives and theists as krazen makes about liberals. Except the former poster seems to get a pass for whatever reason. I've never brought it up because I didn't want to come across as an ass, but then I stopped and realized—why worry about that? I am one.
Plus, people call out us blue-avies all the time without recourse. So whatever. I don't think I've ever read a HockeyDude post without feeling personally offended. The guy approaches controversial topics like his word is The Only Truth™. I don't care who you are or what you're saying—everyone deserves to be treated with respect. And the way he talks about perfectly decent human-beings who happen to be conservative is, quite frankly, asinine. If that's how he interacts with people in real life, he has my sympathies.
I'll take the death points.
Cause I've been here forever (10 years about) and those who have also been here forever know to take any incendiary post I make with a grain of salt. Recently have I gone too far? Considering the post you just made... yea, probably, but after 7 years of moderate heroism I had to spice up my time here a little, no?
This is an internets forum: I'm sure I can get on just fine with anybody here in the real world. I have a penchant for being purposely offensive, but anyone who knows me knows I'm just trying to rile up some discussion.
EDIT: and my anti-religion philosophy is mostly regurgitated Hitchens... so there you go. I'll admit that.
