Almost certainly not. Bachmann is clearly the type of culture warrior who firmly believes the garbage she spews, and would rather lose and be right than be something she isn't and win.
True enough... I think she definitely takes the cake on delusional, though.. she is obsessed with George W. Bush.. but claims her opponent is more like him than she is.
Then she claimed on national TV that Iran planned to take over Iraq and subdivide into 3 nations and turn it into an Al Queda training ground... something she apparently pulled straight out of her ass..
And several years ago she was caught hiding in the bushes at a pro-gay marriage rally at the capitol in St. Paul.
She also used public funds to open a Christian charter school... I believe it was shut down by the state.
Keeping to your principles is good... when they're actually principles and not just fantastical delusions.
Just because you disagree with her principles doesn't make her a nut. Michele Bachmann is a very intelligent person who is passionate about her beliefs. And because she was smart and built up a huge campaign warchest when her race wasn't competative, she'll be able to survive this incident.
