Needs to realize that he's not the only one living on this planet and that the world is far less black-and-white than he seems to think.

What do you mean about "black-and-white"?

He's not a Todd Akin type, he's a bro who thinks that being politically liberal excuses him from having to develop a personal understanding of people who aren't like him.

I'm willing to bet that all our well-known nutty Republicans precisely think that being politically conservative excuses them from having to develop a personal understanding of people who aren't like them.

Plenty of people here avoid that type of personal understanding without that excuse.

Crazy people on tumblr who believe they're "transracial" or some other bs != the vast majority of people who use the term cisgender. I don't do it out of malice or because I have a chip on my shoulder, just because its a lot less awkward to say than "non-transgender" or something.

Do people who that word is supposed to apply to even say "cisgender"?

transphobia should mean the fear of crossing a boundary or landscape feature.

His statement that it's easier for women to get high-paid jobs like CEOs is a memorable example of a total disconnect with reality.
Did he say that or is that just a parody of what he said?

I don't know why the gender imbalance of CEOs would be relevant to most people's lives in any case.

Well, below it is. I bolded the relevant part about how it's much much easier for women to become engineers than it is for men.

I don't find it at all hard to believe that HR departments go out of their way to hire female applicants in some of these fields. Judging by what you said in your post he was responding to, I'm guessing you don't either?

The true irony in all this is that memphis and virtually everybody trying to defend him from the lynch mob are all supporters of gay rights.  The actual bigots have remained silent this entire time.  C'est la vie.

Being decent to people who are different than you is better evidence of not being a bigot than is supporting gay rights.
