He's a 1990s staid Republican.  A jolly sort of person to join fishing for marlins on his yacht and contemptible sh** like that.  The 1980s business execs moving to the top of the ladder and looking for that next rung.

After 2000, the GOP went all-in on cornpone and the fancy suits were gone.
