Eh, let's wait for the official numbers. They often don't line up with ADP's.

ADP has overestimated payroll growth in three of the last five months by an average spread of 77,000 jobs.. As long as we stay within that margin, this is still relatively good news.

How is this good news? 124K new jobs doesn't keep up with population growth, which won't budge the unemployment numbers. It's more of the same.

Politically speaking it is good news for Obama. It retains the status quo, and the status quo leads to an Obama victory. Obviously we would like growth above 200K+ to reduce the unemployment rate.

Sorry folks, didn't mean to go on a rant. But I stand by what I said.

I don't think I'm spinning a fairy tale when we have Mitch McConnell on record saying "Our number one goal is to make Barack Obama a one term president." Or when the Republican House refuses to raise the debt ceiling, full well knowing the implications, after doing it several times under President Bush. But that's old news.

Anyway, no jobs number will be a true game changer unless its over 250K or under 50K. Tomorrow's report will likely not change the game that much, but could be a net positive for Obama if its close to ADPs numbers. A strong number will certainly give credence to Obama's speech tonight and poke some holes in Romney's message. But basically we're at the point where there aren't likely to be many true game changers. The perception of the economy is baked into the cake.

You picked the wrong thread bro. While there are some Republicans who cheer for bad economic news, I don't see that in this thread.
